10 Apr 2018 (Apple Daily) Weightlifter (27) Passed out during Competition in 2018 Commonwealth Games


In 2018 Commonwealth Games, a Wales’ player Joshua Parry aged 27 who was collapsed in weightlifting competition finals. In his first trial of 160kg, he did not inhale sufficient oxygen before weightlifting. He was suffered from anoxia and causing SCA. The On-duty First Aiders have tried to revive him immediately. Fortunately, he was conscious after the resuscitation. However, he was disqualified in the competition.
